Case study: Jordanthorpe Health Centre

In 2020 one of Sheffield’s flagship health centres – Jordanthorpe Health Centre, was remodelled to accommodate another GP practice, with the work delivered two weeks ahead of schedule despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The refit created twelve new high-spec consulting rooms which will enable more patients to access the
facilities and the extra capacity created has enabled Meadowgreen Health Centre and their patients to
relocate from their previous locations on School Lane and Low Edges Road. Their nurses and four GPs
started delivering services this week from the modern fit-for purpose facilities.

Throughout the works, the building, on Dyche Close, Sheffield, continued to provide the existing high
levels of services to registered patients from the Clover Group Practice and Community Dental Clinic as
they remained in operation. The construction and property management teams worked effectively
together to minimise any disruption to the day-to-day running of the building.
