CHP publishes Annual Report 2023-24

Our Annual Report demonstrates our commitment and contribution to the continued delivery of NHS services.

As well as achieving all  our objectives and Key Performance Indicators for the year, we are particularly proud to have successfully optimised, adapted and repurposed high-quality space in our buildings under our PACE (Productivity Acceleration in Community Estates) programme. This  supports increased  productivity and improved accessibility to, diagnostics and treatment.  Through this we have supported the delivery of more than 300,000 additional diagnostic tests and scans in local community settings.

During 2023/24, we supported  £15.8 million of investment ( £6.75 million of this from CHP).

Key achievements this year include:

  • A new CHP-funded £3.2 million dental clinic opened at Kenworthy Road Health Centre in East London
  • The delivery of one of our largest ever CHP- funded projects – the £6.9 million redevelopment of the Plym Neuro Rehabilitation Unit at Mount Gould Local Care Centre in Plymouth.
  • A new expanded breast screening service opened for patients at Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre in Warrington town centre in May 2023 with £930k funded from our programme.
  • We developed and launched an ambitious five-year strategy during the year and look forward to the launch of the NHS 10-year plan and to playing a key role in its delivery.

As always, I would like to thank everyone in CHP and to our partners who have worked to deliver a fantastic year in supporting the NHS.

Our five year strategy sets out our ambitions and direction of travel to 2028. Our focus will be on securing the future of the LIFT portfolio as core assets, working with partners and customers to identify the strategic need for the buildings, positioning them as key local cornerstones of place-based care and embedding them within ICS infrastructure strategies. Maximising their use will be critical, and will be underpinned by their quality, value and adaptability.
