Throughout September, our teams from across the country proudly came together in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, raising vital funds for those affected by cancer.
The annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, held on the last Friday of September, is an event that unites communities in a shared mission: to ensure no one faces cancer alone.
From the North West to the South and across London, our teams hosted coffee mornings at CHP sites, serving up a delectable spread of cakes and refreshments that brought together staff, patients, and the local community.
Together the teams raised nearly £4,000, an incredible effort in support of a truly vital cause.
This year’s initiative carried special significance for our London team, who dedicated their efforts across eight sites in memory of a much loved and missed colleague who sadly lost her battle to cancer earlier this year. Their fundraising was a heartfelt tribute, reflecting the compassion and commitment she inspired in those around her.
Things got very busy very quickly and extra chairs and tables were needed! The Friends of Fareham raised an amazing £393.32. We have lots of cake left, which has been donated to the Monday memory group run by the Friends of Fareham. Rowner also held an event and raise £412!

It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the facilities and socialising and raising money for such a fantastic cause. They raised an incredible £1,370.45!

There was a great turnout this morning with lots of donations to support this great cause. Staff and service users on site have enjoyed some cake and a coffee and it was a great opportunity for some community engagement.

Whether large or small, these gatherings play a vital role in enabling Macmillan to offer emotional, practical, and financial support to the nearly 3.5 million people across the UK living with cancer. (Source: Macmillan Cancer Support | The UK’s leading cancer care charity)
Hosting events such as coffee mornings within local communities reinforces the value of NHS LIFT facilities, embedded in neighbourhoods where they’re easily accessible and serve not only as healthcare hubs, but also as spaces for wellbeing, connection, and support.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part, donated, or helped raise awareness for Macmillan Coffee Morning.
