Further Reconfiguration to Deliver Additional Clinical Space in Nottingham

Following recent completion of the new ‘community hub’ at Stapleford Care Centre, Nottingham, the building is now set to benefit from a £2.4m reconfiguration of the upper floors.

Financial close has been reached on a project that will see 7 additional clinical rooms created from unused office space added to the four-storey building built in 2004 under the NHS LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) Programme. CHP are working alongside colleagues from Greater Nottingham LIFTCo, FES, NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to deliver a more productive and efficient space which aligns to the government’s mission to deliver healthcare closer to home, for those who need it most.

The CHP-funded project supports the Government’s key NHS missions, and recently published 10 Year Health Plan, in the shift of more localised care, including bringing together services within neighbourhoods.

The new space, remodelled from unused office space, offers much-needed additional clinical space that will allow both the ICB and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to deliver vital services in a high quality, fit-for-purpose building.

Providing additional clinical capacity at Stapleford Care Centre is a real success for ourselves and our local partners. It is a fantastic example of how creative estates solutions can further benefit local neighbourhoods, by bringing even more services into the community.

Organisational changes and home working following COVID have meant that we no longer need as much office accommodation. We welcome this capital investment to turn this underutilised space into valuable patient facing facilities which will help us to deliver the aims of the 10 Year Plan.
