Hillside Bridge Medical Centre Bradford hosts successful community health event

Hillside Bridge Medical Centre in Bradford welcomed more than 150 people to its Community Health Event on 20th May, in what was the most successful event held at the centre to date.  Led by CHP’s local Operations and Relationship Manager, two GP practices on site, and other health and wellbeing organisations, the event demonstrated the strong partnerships and networks that have been developed. It also highlights how NHS LIFT buildings are essential community hubs for prevention, education, and encouraging connections for residents.

CHP’s Buildings at the Heart of the Community initiative

CHP’s Buildings at the Heart of the Community initiative is a key driver in maximising the social value of our healthcare estate. We achieve this by actively encouraging clinical teams, local community groups, and charities to use the centres for health and wellbeing events, directly supporting the NHS 10 Year Plan’s focus on prevention.

The success of this event shows how NHS LIFT buildings can sit at the heart of communities, improving access and supporting people with long-term health conditions. Through our Buildings at the Heart of the Community initiative, we are unlocking spaces to promote prevention, strengthen partnerships, and connect people with vital health and wellbeing support.
