New CHP Chief Property Officer Stephen Talboys tours three CHP Sheffield health centres

Stephen Talboys, Chief Property Officer at Community Health Partnerships (CHP), recently visited three CHP properties in Sheffield: Jordanthorpe Health Centre, the Flowers, and Deepcar Medical Centre.  The visit provided Stephen with a valuable opportunity to meet tenants, gain first hand insight into the clinical services delivered from our premises, understand building utilisation and opportunities for further NHS services based in LIFT buildings. The experienced local CHP team guided him: Nicola Bolton, NE Strategic Estates Productivity Lead, Sarah Stevenson, Senior Customer Service Manager (Quality & Improvement), and Simon McKinna, Operations and Relationship Manager (ORM) for the seven LIFT buildings in Sheffield. CHP is the head tenant, with the buildings owned by Community 1st Sheffield (LIFTCo). The team’s in-depth knowledge of our sites and strong relationships with the South Yorkshire ICS team, NHS Trusts, and tenants prove invaluable.

A key focus of Stephen’s visit was understanding tenant satisfaction, a long-standing focus within the North East region, consistently reflected in positive tenant satisfaction results. Stephen was particularly impressed by the results of recent site health checks across the estate, with most achieving a 100% pass rate – a testament to the hard work of Simon McKinna, our ORM.

The team outlined the proactive work being undertaken from a productivity perspective to fill underused spaces and increase overall utilisation, particularly of bookable rooms across Sheffield, so patients can receive care closer to home in local neighbourhoods.

I enjoyed spending some time with key colleagues visiting some of our buildings in Sheffield, where I welcomed finding out more about CHP's work on the ground. I visited three of our modern buildings providing a range of primary and community care for patients in their local neighbourhoods.

It was a real pleasure to show Stephen around three modern, accessible CHP Sheffield buildings and highlight the work being done by our tenants and their impact on patient care. We are proud of the range of clinical services delivered from these facilities, from GP care to specialised therapies. Stephen's genuine interest in tenant satisfaction and understanding the day-to-day activities within the buildings was clear. As Chief Property Officer, he shares our commitment to providing the best possible facilities for community healthcare.
