Community Health Partnerships is delighted to be able to announce the rollout of ‘iPads’ to our key operational staff who visit sites across England. The rollout comes after a successful trial period where feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
The pilot was originally initiated as part of a Health and Safety project and was aimed at supporting centre management staff in a more modern, innovative way. It was designed to improve agile working for operational staff and explore how CHP can use technology in a forward-thinking way to drive efficiency and save time for staff by reducing time consuming processes and tasks.
“The use of iPad technology will help us deliver a more streamlined and professional service to our customers. It shows our dedication to listen to your feedback and use technology to improve and expand our offering.”
Supported by the CHP Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) and Property teams at CHP, the 2 month pilot explored utilisation of iPads and supporting equipment, for example a digital pen, and their impact on productivity, efficiency and job satisfaction. The outcomes were unanimously positive with participants describing improvements in work-life balance and customer satisfaction by improving response time to tenants who may be experiencing an issue.
They found that the features such as the microphone dictation tool and ‘point and shoot’ camera allowed them to compose emails and attach pictures more easily, whilst being able to carry out building checks and capture information quicker due to the lightweight nature of the iPad. The iPad also allowed volunteers to showcase floor plans, pictures and documents in real time and annotate them to aid tenant queries.

Nafees Arif, Chief Financial Officer for Community Health Partnerships, commented: “Following the feedback and the success of the pilot scheme I’m pleased to be moving ahead with the rollout. It’s the small things which can sometimes make the biggest difference and we are committed to giving our staff the best opportunity to undertake their job in an efficient and effective manner.’
“The use of iPad technology will help us deliver a more streamlined and professional service to our customers. It shows our dedication to listen to your feedback and use technology to improve and expand our offering. We are keen to continue developing ways of using technology.”
The rollout of iPads will commence in due course with over one hundred being ordered and distributed to operational staff across England.
