Foleshill Health Centre, the UK’s first Passivhaus healthcare building, was Highly Commended for Value at the Constructing Excellence National Awards on 28 January 2022. In addition, the health centre was a National Finalist in the Offsite and Sustainability categories.
Foleshill Health Centre, the UK’s first Passivhaus healthcare building, won ‘Best Carbon Reduction Initiative’ at the Building Better Healthcare Awards. The judges were looking for projects helping to reduce carbon and energy use featuring energy-efficient heating, lighting, and other sustainable innovations, as well as green transport initiatives.
Foleshill Health Centre, the first Passivhaus certified NHS healthcare building, won Best New Build Project of the Year at the prestigious Health Care Estates IHEEM Award ceremony on 19 October 2021. This accolade reinforces its credentials as the most innovative, greenest healthcare building in the UK.

CHP has been shortlisted for three awards at the prestigious Health Care Estates IHEEM ceremony ‘Best New Build Project of the Year’ and ‘Sustainable Achievement’ for the Foleshill Health Centre in Coventry. Staff in the Property and Development teams at CHP are jointly shortlisted for the ‘Estates and Facilities Team’ Award.
Foleshill Health Centre, in Coventry won the Sustainability Award, the Offsite Award and the Value Award at the Constructing Excellence West Midlands ceremony. In addition, Foleshill Health Centre was ‘Winner of Winners’ further establishing this innovative primary care building as an example for future sustainable NHS estate design.
