CHP Leases

As a tenant in one of our buildings, you will be aware that we have been working to regularise all sub‐tenancies through formal under-lease agreements, with the aim of ensuring that all of our sub-tenants are on a properly regulated lease. 

The benefits of securing an under-lease:

  • It is a requirement of a CHP tenant service contract which the CQC will audit
  • A lease ensures CHP tenants are insured, and protected, in the building and limits liability should a claim arise
  • The lease sets out CHP’s obligations to our tenants, including the services we will provide and the standards of maintenance to expect
  • Tenants with a lease in place have access to CHP and NHS estate improvement funding, where appropriate
  • For GP providers a lease is evidence for Rent Reimbursement under the Premises Costs Directions
  • Provides security of tenure for a fixed term

Our leases work flexibly with tenant service contracts and can be amended should a contract change. We always aim to be transparent over our charging schedules and costs and will supply a budget statement and reconciliation to actual costs each year. CHP leases offer value for money for our tenants and help them to deliver vital services within neighbourhoods.

CHP and Citycare partner for swift GP Branch Surgery relocation in Hull

The North East Property and Operations team with the Leasing team at Community Health Partnerships (CHP) worked with Citycare to relocate a GP team from one health centre to another in Hull.  This swift and adaptable approach ensured a smooth transition for patients and staff.
